The Head of the Armenian History Department at YSU, Artak Movsisyan, Passes Away Due to Coronavirus

Iranologist Gohar Iskandaryan announced on her Facebook page: “With great sorrow, we inform you that Artak Movsisyan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Head of the Armenian History Department at Yerevan State University, and a leading researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, has passed away.

“Dear people, we are currently battling two enemies, one at the border and the other inside the country—against the coronavirus. Please be vigilant; we cannot afford new losses. Rest in peace... it is untimely, and I still cannot believe it.”
