Nagorno-Karabakh Fights Against International Terrorism: Henrikh Mkhitaryan Appeals to the International Community

We continue to witness fierce military battles against Nagorno-Karabakh, wrote Armenia national team footballer and Italian 'Roma' player Henrikh Mkhitaryan on his Facebook page.

The Azerbaijani armed forces are bombing the capital Stepanakert and attacking civilian infrastructure. The territory of the Republic of Armenia is also being bombed. Local and foreign media representatives have been injured by Azerbaijani missile strikes.

Nagorno-Karabakh is fighting against international terrorism. The Armenian people are under threat. Global peace and security are at risk. If not stopped today, it could spread from the region to others tomorrow. Today our children have become targets; tomorrow they could be yours.

Once again, I urge the international community to do everything possible to help stop military operations against Armenians,” Mkhitaryan noted.
