Minsk Group Takes Necessary Steps to Establish Peace, Says Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Russia is a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. He emphasized that Russia and Armenia have deep cooperation in the field of security, including the presence of a Russian military base in Armenia. There are current specific agreements in place, and our agenda for dialogue in this regard may be more diverse.
Bernard Smith: Would you like Moscow to be neutral? We know that Turkey and Erdoğan have expressed their support for Azerbaijan. Would you want similar assistance from Vladimir Putin on your behalf?
Nikol Pashinyan: Our position is that Russia is primarily a co-chair country, and the Minsk Group is taking all necessary steps to establish peace in the region and to contribute to the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
Bernard Smith: Would you like to see Russian peacekeepers, for example, in Nagorno-Karabakh?
Nikol Pashinyan: You see, these questions can be discussed in a broader context within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
