Assessing the situation, Junior Sergeant Hayk Smoyan decided to utilize the available shelters in the position for the fighting personnel. Conducting a reconnaissance of the area himself while evaluating the situation, he allowed enemy soldiers to penetrate the position's territory.
Subsequently, through covert operations, he encircled the enemy and, with his skillful and astute actions, organized an assault, during which the enemy was forced to retreat, leaving behind 9 soldiers' bodies in the territory of the position.
