Azerbaijan Will Pay a Heavy Price for Committing Serious Crimes Against the Artsakh Armenians - Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia regarding the recent developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

Ignoring the consistent calls for an immediate ceasefire from the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group and the entire international community, Azerbaijan continues its large-scale military operations in conjunction with Turkey, with the aim of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by force. For this purpose, all of Azerbaijan's military potential has been mobilized, augmented by Turkish military support, which is also manifested by the deployment of foreign militant terrorists transferred from the Middle Eastern conflict zones to Azerbaijan.

Throughout Artsakh, peaceful settlements and civilian infrastructures are being systematically and massively targeted, leading to human casualties and destruction. The goal of these military actions is to commit mass atrocities against the people of Artsakh, depriving them of their historical homeland.

As the guarantor of the security of the people of Artsakh, the Republic of Armenia will take all necessary steps and measures to prevent this mass atrocity. The military-political leadership of Azerbaijan will pay a heavy price for committing serious crimes against the Artsakh Armenians, importing terrorists into the region, and undermining regional security.
