Unverified, Dangerous Food Products Do Not Enter Armenia: ANIF

In the Republic of Armenia, a state of emergency has been declared, which requires exceptional vigilance in all sectors of life. Given the situation, there has emerged a necessity to strengthen border and state control over food products. To this end, the Food Safety Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia has expanded the scope of biological, chemical, and radiological contamination and degradation indicators for essential goods.

This means that all batches of essential food products imported into the Republic of Armenia are subjected to enhanced laboratory control under the ANIF border control framework, regardless of the country of import.

It should also be noted that ANIF specialists continually monitor information and updates from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), based on which control is implemented at the nation’s borders. This refers not to countries as a whole, but to specific batches from individual producers and brands from any country.

Unverified, dangerous food products do not enter and cannot enter the Republic of Armenia.
