Pakistan Denies Involvement of Its Military in Azerbaijan's Military Actions in Artsakh
Pakistan has denied that its military is involved in the military actions against Armenia initiated by Azerbaijan in Artsakh. This statement was made by Zahid Hafiz Chaudhri, a spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by tass.ru.
“Such statements are speculative in nature and unfounded. Pakistan is deeply concerned about the worsening security situation in the region of Artsakh,” he said.
It is reminded that on September 27, Azerbaijani forces launched a large-scale attack in Artsakh, targeting both military and civilian populations.
The Artsakh defense forces have shot down 14 helicopters, 11 planes (including 4 Su-25s), 103 drones, 184 armored vehicles, primarily tanks, 82 transport vehicles, 10 armored personnel carriers, one TOS-1A heavy multiple rocket launcher system, 2 Smerch and 1 Uragan multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy has reported over 1280 casualties, including 180 in the direction of Karvachar, and more than 2700 wounded. According to preliminary data, Armenia has suffered 158 casualties and over 200 wounded.
Azerbaijani forces also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of 2 civilians in Gegharkunik and 11 people in Artsakh.
Journalists from both foreign and local media have been injured due to Azerbaijani shelling.
Martial law has been declared in Armenia and Artsakh since September 27.
