Medical Assistance Organization for Individuals Affected in Military Situations Regulated

Following a proposal from the Ministry of Health, a new regulation has been established by government decree, whereby medical assistance and services will be provided free of charge by the state to individuals affected during declared emergencies or as a result of military or terrorist actions in Armenia or Artsakh.

It is noteworthy that these individuals will benefit from free hospital care, including medical services and assistance provided through advanced and expensive technologies. Affected individuals can also receive primary health care services free of charge at their voluntarily chosen outpatient-polyclinic organization.

Additionally, the state-guaranteed outpatient-polyclinic medical assistance and services include laboratory diagnostic tests and the provision of medications.

In the absence of identification documents for the affected individual, a temporary document issued by the Passport and Visa Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia will be accepted as a basis.

We urge the residents of Artsakh who have moved to Armenia to visit the clinic or polyclinic closest to their temporary residence to obtain a referral for hospital treatment if necessary.
