International Journalists Knew How to Avoid Targeting, But Azerbaijan Is Doing It Deliberately
Most international journalists working in Artsakh are professionals and provide informed coverage. This was stated by the former spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, in an interview with Public Television today. He noted that these journalists have covered various wars and conflicts around the world.
"They even know how to avoid being targeted carelessly, but still, they are being targeted because Azerbaijan is deliberately aiming at them," Hovhannisyan stated.
When asked whether the presence of journalists at the border leads to information leaks, Hovhannisyan responded, "There are, so to speak, 'kicks' that happen due to professional oversights, but they are not significant enough—there are instances of publishing unverified information and falling prey to the adversary's fakes. There have been incidents, but not to such an extent. In the information space, the adversary is fundamentally defeated; we are transparent and clear, and we are defending our home."
