Video: General Mobilization Declared in Artsakh by Araik Harutyunyan

President of Artsakh Araik Harutyunyan has made a statement.

Dear compatriots, based on the current situation, an extraordinary session of the National Assembly has been convened. Addressing the lawmakers, I have declared martial law and a general mobilization for those aged eighteen and above.

We have repeatedly stated that we are not proponents of war, but we are prepared for it. There is no one who loves peace and advocates for it more than us. We did not want this war; it has been imposed upon us, and we are obligated to defend our homeland and families. The entire responsibility for the escalation of the situation will rest on the military-political authorities of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani President Aliyev will be held personally accountable for the humanitarian disaster looming in the region.
