VIDEO: Director of Artsakh NSS Celebrates Daughter's Wedding in Yerevan at Karen Karapetyan's Restaurant; Attendees Include Nikol Pashinyan

The wedding ceremony of the daughter of the Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh is currently underway at the "Florence" restaurant complex. Present at the wedding is the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by his wife Anna Hakobyan.

Also attending are the current and former presidents of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan and Bako Sahakyan, who were seen having a warm conversation outside before Pashinyan's arrival. Just a while ago, the singer Erik arrived here in an expensive Porsche Panamera with Georgian license plates (ER 005 IK), likely to perform at the event.

We also noticed actor Rafael Yeranosyan, who is likely to serve as the emcee for the wedding.

Major General Kamo Aghajanyan was appointed the Director of the National Security Service of Artsakh in May of this year after resigning from the position of Deputy Chief of the Artsakh Police.

Public gatherings are permitted for up to 60 people during the quarantine established until January 11, 2021, provided that anti-epidemic measures are observed. Public events are only allowed under restrictions; festive and memorial events, including birthday (anniversary), wedding (engagement) receptions, funeral services, and burials must be attended by no more than 60 individuals.

We counted approximately 50 or more parked cars in front of the restaurant complex and in the restaurant's parking lots, with the expensive vehicles of the elite mainly parked on the second floor. It is difficult to ascertain whether the number of attendees exceeds 60, although General Aghajanyan, considering the presence of the Chief of the General Staff Artak Davtyan's son’s wedding, along with Pashinyan's attendance, is unlikely to have invited more than 60 people.

It has been frequently reported in the press that the restaurant where the aforementioned wedding ceremony is taking place is de facto owned by former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan. This luxurious restaurant complex in the Hrazdan Gorge is named after Karapetyan's son. Karapetyan himself did not deny any connection with "Florence" when he was serving as the Mayor of Yerevan in 2011. "Yes, I have a connection with that establishment. We built a restaurant complex in the Hrazdan Gorge with a group of friends, some of whom are from abroad. I am sure we built something good, and I am not ashamed of what we did," Karapetyan stated in an interview with the media.
