Call to Arms by General-Major Jalal Harutyunyan, Commander of the Republic of Artsakh's Ministry of Defense and the Defense Army

Dear compatriots,

About four years after the military operations of 2016, the adversary has once again resorted to the power of weapons, thinking that this way it can resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in its favor. On the morning of September 27, the Azerbaijani army launched an attack along the entire length of the contact line following artillery preparation and drone strikes. At this moment, the Defense Army units are successfully thwarting their plans, inflicting significant losses on the adversary.

We have known these plans for a long time, and their essence can be expressed in a phrase: to ethnically cleanse Artsakh and Armenia.

Rest assured, on this occasion, the adversary will fail once again. Victory will not come easily. Sticking to its nature, the adversary will target peaceful settlements and the civilian population, making no distinction between a soldier and a young child, a clergyman and an elderly woman, a mature man and a helpless elder. Its target is all of us.

Victory will require an extraordinary effort and robust unity. Now, all disagreements, all viewpoints, and all opinions must be set aside. Our purpose is singular: to crush the adversary by all possible means, to deliver devastating blows to its armed bands, to destroy its military infrastructure, and if necessary, to extend the security zone and enforce lasting peace.

To accomplish this task, all our efforts must be consolidated.

Our victory is non-negotiable. We are defending the graves of our ancestors and the future of our children. We are defending our right to live on the land of our ancestors.

The entire Armenian nation stands with us. Justice is with us. God is with us.

Victory will be ours!
