As Chair of the National Assembly's Human Rights Committee, I Have Reached Out to All International Organizations: Naira Zohrabyan
The President of Azerbaijan says what he wants; he considers himself the victor. He has issues within his country. It’s not that we are not in combat readiness; our nation is also united. This was stated by Rubik Stepanyan, a member of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, in a conversation with reporters.
“We have already taught them a lesson a few times. The first time they fled before our national defenders and guerrillas, and this will be the second time. We will win; I am confident. We should not pay attention to their threats; we all need to unite, and you should join us,” said Stepanyan.
Tatevik Hayrapetyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction, believes that what has happened was not unexpected, as Azerbaijan has been preparing for war for a long time. “Moreover, in recent days, active materials were published in the propaganda field that clearly prepared their people for possible military actions; it was not unexpected for us. From our reactions, you can see that we are prepared. I don’t think the date was chosen by chance; remember, during the April events, the weekends were also chosen when the international situation is calm. However, we have been working intensively with our partners since morning to ensure the situation is accurately communicated. The parliamentary diplomacy friendship groups are actively in contact at this moment, and there are statements calling for peace. Later, we will need to have condemning statements because it is clear who started this aggression, and Aliyev's statement is proof of that. The situation is currently under complete control, but we need to understand and be prepared, as quite extensive military operations have begun, and we should respond accordingly,” stated Tatevik Hayrapetyan, expressing the view that the current operations are broader than those during the April events.
Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the 'Prosperous Armenia' faction, revealed that she has sent letters to all international organizations as the Chair of the National Assembly's Human Rights Committee. “I have addressed the President of the European Parliament, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the President of the Council of Europe, all political groups of the PACE, the Human Rights Commissioner, and the UN office. Azerbaijan, violating all norms of international law and all international conventions, has launched a large-scale attack along the entire line of contact with Artsakh. Civilian settlements and infrastructure are under shelling,” said Naira Zohrabyan.
