VIDEO. They won’t digest those fruits. I promise them that. Iveta Tonoyan
The authorities have once again "wiped their feet" on justice. This was stated today, September 25, in front of the NSS building, by Iveta Tonoyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia faction.
It is noteworthy that the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan, recently made a decision to detain Gagik Tsarukyan; he is already in custody.
"It is abundantly clear to us that this is a political order. Mr. Tsarukyan's spirit is strong. He urged his associates to continue to adhere to the same principles. The lawyers have stated that the court has been unable to present any justification throughout these months to demonstrate that Mr. Tsarukyan has attempted to obstruct the course of the investigation in any way. Undoubtedly, Mr. Tsarukyan would not take such a step, however, since we are dealing with political revenge, the court has absolutely disregarded both the principles of justice and the fundamental ideas that it is supposed to uphold. They won’t digest those fruits; I promise them that. Their ambitions, their unfulfilled childhood dreams, their complexes of inadequacy can lead them to any action with their unstable behavior," Tonoyan said.
She stated that they will use all the tools provided by the law: "Because the process of removing this Government is now unstoppable. We have our clear roadmap. Regardless of the fact that our leader will not be in positions to lead this political process, the political team has nevertheless received clear instructions from Mr. Tsarukyan."
Gagik Tsarukyan has been charged under Article 154.2 of the RA Criminal Code (receiving bribes from voters, candidates, parties (alliances of parties), or initiating bribery by candidates, parties (alliances of parties), or obstructing the free exercise of voters' will).
It should be noted that the Chief Prosecutor Artur Davtyan had submitted a request to the National Assembly to deprive Tsarukyan of parliamentary immunity, which was granted. However, the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction rejected the NSS investigator's request to detain Tsarukyan.
