Video: If Arresting Me Improves the Public's Situation, There's No Question - Tsarukyan Appears in Court

Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, has just appeared at the Central Court of General Jurisdiction in Yerevan, where a request for his detention by the National Security Service is being examined.

In response to journalists' questions about his mood, Tsarukyan said, "What could have happened to Tsarukyan that he wouldn’t be in a good mood?" Tsarukyan continued to assert that the country’s socio-economic situation has never been as dire as it is now, adding that he stands by his words.

To the question regarding his potential detention, he stated: "If arresting me improves the public’s situation, there’s no question." In response to observations about rumors that certain officials have influenced the court, Tsarukyan said that the judicial process will reveal the truth.
