Two Judges Vote for Yervand Khundkaryan, One is Himself: 'Factinfo'
Two judges voted in favor of Yervand Khundkaryan, the only candidate for the position of President of the Constitutional Court. According to our information, one of the votes was cast by Khundkaryan himself, and the other by the acting President of the Constitutional Court, Ashot Khachatryan, reports 'Factinfo.'
It should be noted that shortly before, Constitutional Court judge Edgar Shatiryans announced that Yervand Khundkaryan was not elected as the President of the Constitutional Court because he did not receive the necessary number of votes.
Furthermore, candidates have the right to vote for themselves. It should be added that Yervand Khundkaryan had self-nominated for the position of President of the Constitutional Court, while Hrayr Tovmasyan nominated Ashot Khachatryan's candidacy, however, the latter had declined.
