Naira Zohrabyan: Mnatsakan Martirosyan, Serving All Governments, Fulfills Current Authority's Order
Member of the National Assembly from the "Prosperous Armenia" faction Naira Zohrabyan made a post on her Facebook page regarding the judge who ordered the detention of Gagik Tsarukyan, Mnatsakan Martirosyan. The post is presented below:
"On January 19, 2010, the editor-in-chief of 'Haykakan Zhamanak' newspaper, Nikol Pashinyan, was sentenced to 7 years in prison by the general jurisdiction court of Yerevan’s Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts concerning the post-election events of 2008. The verdict was given by Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan. After the court session, Nikol Pashinyan stated: 'The verdict delivered by Mnatsakan Martirosyan once again proves the political nature of the criminal prosecution initiated against me. The puppet court, the criminal prosecution office, and the illegal authorities, initially deciding to keep me in prison, have been unable to agree on the methodology for carrying this out. I call for a consistent continuation of the struggle to remove the illegal criminal-oligarchic authorities that have seized the Republic of Armenia and to establish legitimate authority in Armenia.'"
Ten years later, on September 25, the same Mnatsakan Martirosyan accepted the prosecution's request to detain Gagik Tsarukyan. Ten years later, Mnatsakan Martirosyan, who carries out the political orders of all authorities, has, once again, fulfilled the political order of the current authorities. Mnatsakan Martirosyan was specifically chosen. He was compelled to fulfill the political order of a person whom he had previously sentenced to 7 years in prison.
This is the same Mnatsakan who sentenced Aghamal Harutyunyan, known as Kukuy, who killed Paul Poghosyan with a few punches in "Paplavok," to merely 2 years of conditional imprisonment. Let me remind you, this is the same Mnatsakan who sentenced Sasun Mikayelyan to 8 years in prison. This is the same Mnatsakan who sentenced Shant Harutyunyan to 6 years in prison. This is the same Mnatsakan who sentenced Zhivair Seyfullian to 1.5 years in prison.
So, long live Mnatsakan! Long live the judicial system where nothing changes, and only the clients and those issuing political orders change. It's a pity for the revolution."
