Grisha Tamrazyan Discusses Reasons for Resignation as Deputy Minister

Former Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Grisha Tamrazyan has addressed the reasons for his resignation and expressed gratitude for his time in office.

“Dear compatriots, I inform you that I have made the decision to submit my resignation from the position of Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. Throughout my conscious life, I have fought for justice and the principles that I have never betrayed. It is these principles that compelled me to take this step, as I am convinced that our struggle has been not against but for: for establishing a strong state based on national values, for justice, for the dignified life of our citizens, for quality education rooted in national values, and for having a competitive and globally recognized sports environment.

I do not believe that achieving this goal requires abandoning everything that has existed in the past, including the achievements realized over the last 29 years through the efforts of many of our compatriots. For me, the history of the Armenian people does not begin in 2018. But I am not of a type that surrenders, and the fight for the values that are unchangeable for me will continue; this is the struggle of a type of person.

I thank all the professionals I had the fortune to work with over the past two years: the employees of the Ministry, university rectors, all education stakeholders, representatives of the sports world, and my beloved athletes. I wish everyone good health and fruitful work for the future of our state and the dignified life of our citizens.”

It should be noted that yesterday, Grisha Tamrazyan submitted his resignation request, which was later signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
