Expensive Cosmetics, 150,000 Drams Restaurant Bills: The Power is Flourishing

The newspaper "Hraparak" writes: "It turns out that Prime Minister Pashinyan's team has overcome poverty not only in their minds but also in daily life. The owner of one of Yerevan's expensive restaurants recently confided in a private conversation that before 2018, the current officials would visit and order just one cup of coffee, which they would sit around for hours.

‘In the first months after the revolution, they started coming for business lunches—having inexpensive breaks. Now, they are the honorable guests during the busiest evening hours, ordering several dishes and expensive wine, settling bills of at least 150,000 drams and leaving generous tips.’

The improvement in the lifestyle of officials is also evident from their expensive clothing. Women in power no longer roam around with unkempt hair and clothes from the “Roberto” shop; they have a more polished look, use expensive cosmetics and perfumes, visit cosmetologists, and utilize brand-name shops. The quality of their skin and hair has also improved due to expensive food. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister continues to advise citizens, saying, ‘Nothing will happen if each of you smokes two fewer packs of cigarettes; pay that money to the budget instead. Drink one less bottle of vodka, not to mention two bottles; that money should go to the budget.’
