WRed
The court hearing regarding the detention of Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gugik Tsarukyan is set to take place today under the presidency of Mnatsakan Martirosyan. The session had been postponed on September 23 at 10:00 AM as neither the defense nor the defendant appeared in court.
It is noteworthy that the Court of Appeal of Armenia, under the presidency of Judge Mkhitar Papoyan, annulled the decision of the first instance court not to detain Gugik Tsarukyan on July 8, sending the case back for a new hearing.
Gugik Tsarukyan is accused under Article 154.2 of the Armenian Penal Code for bribing voters and obstructing the free will of voters.
