Call to Wake Up, Descend from the Clouds, and Abandon the Complex of Omniscience: Former My Step MP

Under the leadership of Nikol Pashinyan, the only real social support for his political force has been and remains the civil society - active, conscious, thinking, analyzing, and thus also the most disagreeable with this or that decision, critical of this or that step, and expressing divergent opinions with the right of a claimant. Former My Step MP Edgar Araqelyan wrote this on his Facebook page.

"Ignoring these people, accepting criticism with weapons, and moreover showing contemptuous and insulting attitudes means shooting yourself in the foot and endangering not only the current government's strength but also the democracy, sovereignty, and security of the country as a whole. Therefore, I call on everyone to wake up, descend from the clouds, abandon the complex of omniscience, and urgently begin efforts to restore the damaged bridges and establish healthy relations between the government and civil society. Unfortunately, I have no doubt that the ruling party alone is incapable of confronting internal and external growing threats, and thus considering alienating its natural allies and groping in arrogant solitude is utterly shortsighted and destructive behavior," Araqelyan wrote.

It should be noted that on December 9, 2018, Araqelyan was elected as a member of the National Assembly on the nationwide electoral list of the My Step alliance, but he resigned from his parliamentary mandate on August 30, 2019.
