Remittances to Armenia Decreased, Reports 'Hayastani Jhoghovurd'

'Hayastani Jhoghovurd' newspaper reports: 'The coronavirus and the state of emergency declared as a result, along with the global situation, have negatively affected the remittances entering Armenia. According to official sources, remittances sent to Armenia during the first seven months of this year have decreased by 15.3 percent compared to the same period last year. In the January-July of 2020, Armenia received $893 million 289 thousand, while in the same months of 2019, it was $1 billion 55 million 256 thousand. Notably, the lion's share of remittances to Armenia comes from the Russian Federation.'
