Preparation of Necessary Documents for Transfer of Arthur Gevorgyan from the USA to Armenia

The Armenian Prosecutor's Office has been officially informed that Arthur Gevorgyan has been arrested in the USA in connection with violations of US law. This was stated by Gor Abrahamyan, advisor to the Chief Prosecutor, in response to a request from 1lur ER.am.

“Despite this circumstance, the Armenian Prosecutor's Office, exercising its powers, is already preparing the necessary documents to submit a request to the relevant US authorities on the issue of his transfer to the competent bodies of Armenia within the framework of his wanted status. However, it should be noted that the absence of a bilateral international treaty on extradition between Armenia and the USA dictates certain peculiarities that complicate the extradition process,” Gor Abrahamyan said.
