Prime Minister to Award Over 100 Healthcare Workers
More than one hundred healthcare workers will be awarded with the Prime Minister's commemorative medal and a letter of thanks in the coming days, including representatives from the "Nork" Infectious Diseases Hospital.
This was reported by Prime Minister's spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan in a conversation with Armenpress, referring to an open letter addressed to the Prime Minister and the President by the staff of the "Nork" Infectious Diseases Hospital. Gevorgyan noted that the Prime Minister's office has received proposals for the award of numerous healthcare workers for their efforts in combating the coronavirus pandemic from the Ministry of Health.
"Twelve healthcare workers have been nominated for a state award on September 21, and over 100 healthcare workers will be awarded the Prime Minister's commemorative medal and a letter of thanks in the coming days. I should mention that the awarded healthcare workers also include representatives from the Nork Infectious Diseases Hospital," the spokesperson said.
The staff of the National Center for Infectious Diseases had sent a letter to the Prime Minister and the President. In the open letter, the employees expressed their dissatisfaction, stating that none of the hospital's staff had been awarded during the ceremony dedicated to the Independence Day.
