Pashinyan Struggles with the Absence of High-Level Armenian-American Meetings
According to the newspaper 'Hraparak', the Armenian authorities are making every effort to organize a meeting between Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Mike Pompeo at the beginning of October. It turns out that Nikol Pashinyan is heavily impacted by the absence of high-level Armenian-American meetings and has instructed Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan to do everything possible to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Armenian embassy in Washington, and the Armenian lobbyists and community in the U.S. have mobilized resources to arrange this meeting. Moreover, the Armenian embassy has hired American lobbyists to facilitate the meeting with the Secretary of State, paying them substantial amounts from the state budget. One of them is the former senator, 97-year-old Bob Dole.
