It Should Probably Be Done Like the Election of the Pope: When There Is White Smoke, it Means Someone Has Been Elected, Says Hrayr Tovmassian

When I have something to say publicly, let me decide when to say it and in what format. This was stated by Hrayr Tovmassian, who just exited the Constitutional Court.

“It should probably be done like the election of the Pope: when there’s open, white smoke from above, it means someone has been elected,” said Hrayr Tovmassian.

When asked whether he opposed media coverage of the session, and in his opinion, whether the session should be closed or open, Tovmassian did not respond.

It should be noted that today, a procedural session was taking place at the Constitutional Court, during which the president and vice president of the Court were to be elected. Constitutional Court judge Edgar Shatiryan informed journalists that the procedural session was postponed due to the end of the working day and would continue tomorrow. Thus, the election of the president and vice president of the Constitutional Court did not take place.
