Healthcare Ministry Turned into One-Man Vendetta "Shop": Naira Zohrabyan

MP Naira Zohrabyan from the "Prosperous Armenia" faction writes on her Facebook page, "The healthcare ministry has turned into a one-man vendetta 'shop'. The 'Nork' infectious disease hospital has accepted the first patient with coronavirus. Throughout this nightmare, the 'Nork' infectious disease hospital has served those isolated with coronavirus. The hospital has also accommodated all the individuals who underwent coronavirus testing and the sick residents.

And now, on the 29th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, none of the doctors from the 'Nork' infectious disease hospital have made the list of those deserving of state awards, because the health minister, who continues to enjoy an extended vacation, scaling the mountains of the Armenian nation and Artsakh, has a personal vendetta against 'Nork' hospital’s director, Mher Davidyants. Since he decided that Davidyants is not to his liking for having the audacity to refuse his offer, this individual has chosen to punish the dedicated doctors of the hospital who have been fighting on the frontline since the first day of the pandemic.

Perhaps his superiors granted him that right, and he has chosen to humiliate all the devoted doctors of an entire hospital because of his personal petty revenge.

Mr. President Armen Sarkissian, I had decided to never recall or mention you again. Your consistent silence on this matter is at least perplexing. When you sign decrees regarding doctors’ rewards, why don’t you instruct your staff to investigate why the list of esteemed doctors deserving state awards does not include those frontline doctors from the 'Nork' infectious hospital in the fight against coronavirus? Why are you silent? How long can this absurdity be tolerated when a designated minister considers himself "tsar in a bog" and attempts to shatter the system, the state, and citizens with his unjustified complexes?

The Prime Minister’s spokesperson announced that in the coming days, 100 doctors, including many from the 'Nork' infectious hospital, will be rewarded again. By the way, this follows an open letter addressed to the Prime Minister and the President.

Long live all doctors, including Mher Davidyants and his team, for their fantastic dedication and work. But still, an important question lingers in the air: until when will these individuals contaminate everything with their phobias and narrow personal vendettas?"
