Azerbaijan's Leader Has Entered the Information War, Expert Says

Military expert and Turkologist Karen Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Attention... Azerbaijan has entered the information war. This time, they are using different methods. Besides the usual practice of spreading disinformation in Armenian online domains in Armenian, this time they are distributing 'news' through their media space that is unofficial but propagated by the propaganda machine of Baku's autocrat.

I don't usually like to call for action, but I urge our news outlets not to bring such materials into the Armenian domain, as that is precisely Azerbaijan's goal. Their media circulates news that could create panic among us, and our media could pick them up and present them in translation.

Awareness is needed not only on the frontlines but also on the information front.”
