The decision to hold a rally by the Trio has no connection to the court hearing regarding Gagik Tsarukyan's detention. This was stated by Arsen Babayan, a member of the board of the 'Homeland' party and a human rights activist, on his Facebook page.

'Representatives of the political forces that are members of the Trio have expressed their views on its organization long ago. The ruling political force bears the full responsibility for the inability to manage the coronavirus pandemic due to incompetence and inefficiency, and this is well-known among the people regarding the ruling unit that has already lost its legitimacy. They even blamed the pandemic situation on the same people they are supposed to represent. So much for 'people's power',' wrote Babayan.

It is worth noting that earlier, the 'Prosperous Armenia', 'Armenian Revolutionary Federation', and 'Homeland' parties issued a statement announcing a nationwide rally in Freedom Square on October 8.
