Court Decides to Detain Mikhail Minasyan

The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction has today approved the detention of Mikhail Minasyan, the former Armenian ambassador to the Vatican and the son-in-law of Serzh Sargsyan, as a measure of restraint, following a request from the State Revenue Committee. This was reported by Gor Abrahamyan, an advisor to the Armenian Prosecutor General, in response to a question from "Armenian Time." According to the site’s information, the detention decision was made by Judge Manvel Shahverdyan of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction's Avan and Nor Nork residence.

It should be noted that Mikhail Minasyan is accused of illegal enrichment, submitting false information in declarations, and legalizing property obtained through criminal means.
