Aliyev Thanks Georgia for Not Allowing Arms Transfers to Armenia
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that Georgia did not permit the transportation of weapons to Armenia through its territory, for which he expressed gratitude to the Georgian authorities. This was reported by Aliq Media.
"I highly appreciate the actions of the Georgian government. As you know, Georgia did not allow weapons to be transported to Armenia through its territory. That is why weapons are now being delivered to Armenia via the territories of Caspian states and by air. Georgia has acted as a reliable partner, for which I thank the Georgian government," Aliyev declared.
According to the Azerbaijani president, many projects are being implemented between Georgia and Azerbaijan, and a visit by the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister to Georgia is planned in the near future. "Azerbaijan has always stood by Georgia. Today, the Georgian people know who their friend is and who their enemy is," Aliyev added.
