Security Threats Have Clearly Intensified: Tigran Abrahamyan

The former advisor to Artsakh's ex-president Bako Sahakyan, Tigran Abrahamyan, wrote on his Facebook page: 'Statements coming from Azerbaijan and Turkey not only confirm the impasse created in the negotiation process but also clearly signal the growing security threats.'

As a primary step, I propose to the relevant institutions and competent bodies:

First, significantly increase the number of participants in the reserves gatherings at this stage.

Second, complete the law on volunteer forces, considering the proposals made during this period, and urgently introduce it to the National Assembly for adoption. Start organizing works.

Third, through consultations with organizations uniting participants of the war and following relevant health procedures, form aggregate units, hold gatherings, and temporarily attach them to military units stationed along the various directions of the border.

In the future, consider their possible involvement in the volunteer forces format, but at this particular stage, given the necessity for swift action, engage them in this format.

Fourth, it can also be considered, at least on a voluntary basis, to select representatives from the reserves and involve them in combat duty along the border or as additional reserves for military units or battalions.

It is not important whether military operations will resume tomorrow, in a week, or in a month; at this moment, security threats have clearly intensified, and we must take necessary steps to secure ourselves.
