The State Purchased Medications Worth 112 Million AMD Solely for Home Treatment
Medical assistance for COVID-19 is provided within the framework of the state order and is fully covered by state funding. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Health Artjom Simbatyan on his Facebook page.
“Today, I was watching a video where Gagik Tsarukyan claimed that the costs for COVID-19 medical assistance are a significant burden on our citizens. I want to particularly emphasize that the information provided by the aforementioned individual does not correspond to reality, as medical assistance for COVID-19 is provided within the framework of the state order and is entirely covered by state funding. Out-of-hospital medical assistance is also under state funding when provided according to guidelines developed by specialists.”
“In order to ensure the process of providing home treatment, the state has purchased medications worth 112 million AMD and has supplied them to organizations providing out-of-hospital medical assistance (polyclinics, ambulatory clinics). It is surprising that Gagik Tsarukyan himself had contracted the coronavirus and received hospital medical assistance without making any payment, as he was under state care as a citizen with COVID-19, and the expenses for Gagik Tsarukyan's hospital treatment were covered by the state according to the submitted application,” the deputy minister wrote.
