New Price Increases Expected in Armenia Soon
New price increases are expected in Armenia soon, and some have already occurred. For instance, the price of beef is around 4,000 drams (compared to 3,200 drams last year). The price of pork has remained unchanged, unlike lamb, which has increased by 500 drams (approximately 20%).
According to the newspaper 'Zhoghavorud', unlike last year, this year there will be no import of potatoes, but there will be exports. Currently, potatoes are sold at 80 drams per kilogram, but prices are expected to rise slightly (possibly up to 100 drams) as around 1,500 tons will be exported to Iran and Georgia.
The price of milk may rise to 150 drams. Meanwhile, poultry meat continues to be imported, which allows prices to be maintained and they are expected to remain unchanged until the end of the year,” the newspaper reports. Read the full article in today's issue of the paper.
