Julfalakyans Challenges Government: 'They Do Whatever They Want'
Arsen Julfalakyan has not only refused to retract his resignation from his mandate, but he also seems to be throwing down the gauntlet to the authorities. Yesterday, he invited the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport to a live debate.
It is worth recalling that the reason for his resignation was a fundamental disagreement with Araik Harutyunyan. We reported that in recent days, members of the My Step faction have been holding meetings and negotiations with Julfalakyan, trying to persuade him to return to the National Assembly. Reports have emerged that Julfalakyan confided to one of the deputies that many people are currently frustrated with the government and mentioned that on those April days in 2018, people welcomed him in the streets, praising him for joining the revolution, but now, due to his resignation, it is a different story.
In the ruling faction, besides Julfalakyan, other deputies are also dissatisfied with the government’s actions. They say: 'They do whatever they want, and they force the parliament to endorse their absurd decisions, ignoring any objections.'
Moreover, it was mentioned that several deputies, alongside Julfalakyan, had considered resigning from their mandates, including two women, but at the last moment, they changed their minds, thinking they would no longer find jobs.
