It Is Obvious That My Published Reports and the Reports Distributed by the Police Differ

The police have provided clarification regarding the statement made yesterday by Arsen Babayan, a member of the 'Homeland' party council and human rights defender.

The police stated that Babayan's claim that police officers were instructed to fine a certain number of citizens daily for not wearing masks is a result of distortion. Babayan responded to the police's clarification on his Facebook page, arguing that the police allegedly published the original report he provided, which claims the date is not the 18th but the 17th.

“It becomes clear upon a cursory examination that the reports I published and those distributed by the police differ (the differences are indicated in the photos). Indeed, I was contacted by the police and informed that the report was compiled on the 17th, to which I replied that the information provided by the police does not inspire confidence,” he wrote.

Referring to the public distrust sparked by mask-wearing mandates, Babayan noted that the government initially convinced everyone that the virus was thinner than the holes in the masks. “Then, with criminal self-assuredness, Nikol mocked everyone with his statement 'Whose dog is the coronavirus?' after which he threw away home-distilled spirits soaked in a pincette. And what is most disgusting is that Nikol later claimed he never said such things. From the very first moments of coming to power, Nikol has lied and fabricated every conceivable thing, so the fabrications by the police in the Nikol regime need no proof at all,” he said.

Babayan also mentioned that it has been established that if the procedures are led by Pashinyan, participation without masks is permissible. “In reality, the situation is indeed extremely difficult, to the point that we allow ourselves to tolerate an incompetent government and the existence of police transformed into militia by orders from its leader...” I particularly thank the officers of the Armenian police who do not become the executors of the Nikol regime described above, and many of whom I know personally. Hang in there, guys, hang in there and continue to serve the people; there's nothing left...” he concluded.
