Alarm at AATM: Conditional Assembly Announced in Supervisory Body
The Health and Labor Inspection Body has issued a statement announcing the declaration of a conditional assembly within the supervisory body. According to the AATM, "According to the scenario, the Prime Minister of Armenia signed a decision on September 18 regarding the transition of the RA civil defense system to a 'Heightened Work' regime (as part of an exercise). In the morning at 07:00, a 'Gathering' signal was received.
In implementation of the Prime Minister's decision, a 'Heightened Work' regime has been established in the AATM system. Heads of structural divisions have been instructed to carry out the measures stipulated in the transition plans from peacetime to wartime within the specified timeframe, managing them from the main control points.
Based on their statutory functions, AATM subdivisions have taken urgent response measures within the framework of the conditional alarm, tightening control in their areas of service. The exercise was conducted under the leadership of AATM director Hakob Avagyan and AATM deputy director Suren Amiryan. They were followed by Manvel Serobyan, the acting senior specialist in the Prime Minister's office for mobilization readiness and mobilization programs, and Narek Abrahamyan, the acting senior specialist in the Prime Minister's office for defense policy.
The purpose of such exercises is to enhance the preparedness of response forces, check the readiness of civil defense headquarters and formations, evaluate the feasibility of civil defense plans, and identify the needs for organized action in emergency situations. The assessment results will be consolidated in a summary order, on the basis of which significant issues in the civil defense system will be planned and corrected in the shortest possible terms.
Such events in the AATM are held regularly. During them, issues related to the actions to be taken within the powers of the AATM during emergencies and martial law are discussed substantively.
