39-Year-Old Contract Soldier's Vehicle Detonates on Mine Near Vahan Combat Position

On September 16, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 10:25 AM, a report was received by the Chambarak division of the police from the Chambarak Medical Center stating that a citizen diagnosed with "closed cranio-cerebral trauma" had been admitted to their facility. Police detectives determined that the injured individual is 39-year-old Argishti K., a resident of the city of Chambarak, who sustained injuries after his vehicle, a ZIL without a license plate, detonated on a mine around 09:00 AM the same day while he was in a border area near the Vahan village combat positions.

It was revealed that Argishti G. serves as a contract soldier in the RA Ministry of Defense's military unit N., and the information has been forwarded to the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. Military police operatives from the Chambarak division in Gegharkunik province have arrived at the scene.
