It Turns Out That the Main Version of the Soldier's Presence in Azerbaijan is His Abduction by Azerbaijanis - Abrahamyan
The former adviser to the President of Artsakh, Tigran Abrahamyan, writes on his Facebook page: According to the Prosecutor's Office of Armenia, a criminal case has been initiated regarding the case of Gurgen Alaverdyan, a serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces, who found himself in Azerbaijan, under Article 131, Part 2, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code (abduction of a person by a group of individuals with prior agreement). The initiated criminal case has been sent to the Investigative Committee.
It appears that the main version of the serviceman's presence in Azerbaijan is his abduction by Azerbaijanis. I have had the opportunity to present my observations on the matter from various perspectives regarding the serviceman's presence in Azerbaijan, his status, international law, security, and the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross. However, in this case, I will try to approach the issue from a different angle.
The illegal crossing of the border by Azerbaijanis and the abduction of the serviceman also contain alarming threats, especially if we consider that just a few months ago, there was another incident of border crossing by Azerbaijanis and infiltration into our territory in the direction of the village of Areguni. At that time, it was mentioned that a similar incident had occurred towards one of the neighboring communities of Areguni during that period, but there was no official clarification, so to speak, it was neither refuted nor confirmed.
The incidents recorded in recent months should serve as a sobering warning. The security system in border areas and settlements must be strengthened, and efforts to counter Azerbaijani intelligence and neutralize threats to our security should be elevated to a higher level.
