Employee of Wildberries LLC Charged with Large-Scale Embezzlement

The investigation into the case of large-scale embezzlement by an employee of Wildberries LLC has been completed by the Lori regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee.

According to reports from the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Investigative Committee, the 26-year-old individual, who worked at the Vanadzor branch of the company as a warehouse and customer relations manager-cashier from January 26, 2019, was fully financially responsible as per the employment contract. He was authorized to organize and coordinate warehouse operations, as well as handle the incoming and outgoing cash transactions.

Between October 1, 2019, and February 1, 2020, with a unified intent, he systematically embezzled various goods entrusted to him by the company, stealing a total of 1,958,390 AMD from sales.

Based on sufficient evidence gathered during the investigation, the employee has been charged under the 3rd part of the 2nd clause of Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code (embezzlement or misappropriation). As a precautionary measure, he has been placed under signature not to leave the jurisdiction.

The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been forwarded to court with a bill of indictment.
