Altercation and Brawl in Kotayk Region: Injured and Suspects Include the Son of the Village Mayor of Balahovit

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, an investigation has been initiated in the Kotayk division of the police under Article 258, Part 4 of the RA Criminal Code regarding an altercation and brawl that took place on September 16 in Kotayk region.

On that day, around 20:40, the Kotayk police received a call from the "Abovyan" medical center, reporting that a citizen had been admitted with a diagnosis of "blunt trauma to the upper left jaw, a dislocated fracture of the right collarbone, and a concussion, condition unclear." The police found that the injured individual is Levon Y., a 32-year-old resident of Abovyan city, who informed the doctors that he cannot remember how or under what circumstances he sustained his injuries.

While doctors were fighting for his life, Kotayk police initiated necessary measures and discovered that at approximately 19:30 on the same day, several young people assaulted Levon Y. and his friends, 29-year-old Simon T. and 31-year-old Hayk G., for not yielding the road on Republic Street in Abovyan city.

It was revealed that the altercation occurred between S. Tsaturyan, Hayk G., Levon Y., and Balahovit villagers—25-year-old Vardan G., 22-year-old Aram G., 39-year-old Garegin K., 35-year-old Artak K., 28-year-old Garik G. from Mayakovski village, and 24-year-old Karapet K. from Balahovit, during which they exchanged blows.

According to photojournalistic sources, one of the participants in the brawl, Aram G., is the son of Balahovit village mayor Kamo Grigoryan, while one of the injured, Simon T., works as a director at "Simon Tsaturyan" LLC. The police are taking necessary measures to locate the individuals involved.
