VIDEO: Brutal and Illegal Dog Fighting Under Emergency Conditions

Warning: this publication contains footage depicting brutality.

Econews.am writes: "The environmental informational website Econews.am, in collaboration with the initiative 'Animal Lovers,' continues to present photographs and details evidencing illegal hunting, dog fights, and cruel treatment of animals.

On September 6, 2020, a video documenting illegal dog fights was uploaded by user ‘arjuk arjuk’ on a public social platform, involving dozens of people, including minors and young children. This illegal event seemingly took place in disregard of the state of emergency declared in the country.

The user ‘arjuk arjuk’ is known for his involvement in dog fighting, even being dubbed a 'champion.' He keeps his animals in some sort of storage area, presumably around Lake Sevan, subjects them to brutal training, organizes or participates in illegal dog fights, breeds animals, and sells the puppies while evading taxes, also causing harm to the state.

It should be noted that minors and young children were also present at these illegal and brutal dog fights, which is a significant aggravating circumstance.

It is also noteworthy that a citizen wearing a 'Team Araqelyan' shirt participated in the illegal dog fights. He is likely a member of the 'Gagrin Fight Club,' which operates in the community of Gagrin, Gegharkunik Province, and involves no-holds-barred fighting.
