Guterres Calls for Cancellation of Sanctions Hindering COVID-19 Fight
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has advocated for the cancellation of sanctions imposed on states, as they hinder the fight against the coronavirus. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“In my speech to the G20 leaders on March 26, I also called for the cancellation of those sanctions that may impede countries in their efforts to combat the pandemic,” he added.
