Belarus Announces Start Date for COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign
The Minister of Health of Belarus, Dmitry Pinevich, has announced the scheduled timeline for the upcoming COVID-19 vaccination in the country. This was reported by Gazeta.ru, referencing local television.
The minister reminded that citizens will be vaccinated using a vaccine developed in Russia. Citing the minister's statements, the television report indicated that the vaccination process in Belarus will commence "literally in one month."
During the pandemic, a total of 74,552 people have been infected with COVID-19 in Belarus, with 761 fatalities recorded.
It is worth noting that on August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the registration of the world's first COVID-19 vaccine.
