No Quarantine or State of Emergency Planned in Georgia

The Head of the Government's Administration of Georgia, Natia Mezvrishvili, announced that there are no plans to declare a quarantine or a state of emergency in the country. According to Aliq.ge, she made this statement following a meeting of the coordinating council.

"The state is now better prepared. The healthcare system is also better equipped. We can clearly say that there is no plan to declare a full quarantine, and we do not intend to declare a state of emergency. The government is fully controlling the situation," said Mezvrishvili.

At the end of her speech, the head of the government’s administration urged the population to wear masks, maintain social distance, and avoid visiting crowded places.
