Video: Firefighting efforts continue at the Nubarashen landfill

The firefighting units from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Rescue Department in Yerevan, along with two water trucks from the city hall, are conducting firefighting operations at the Nubarashen landfill. It was reported that on September 10, at 08:19, the National Crisis Management Center received a call indicating a fire had broken out at the landfill.

Three fire units and an operational group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Management Department were dispatched to the scene. A complexity level '1-BIS' alarm was declared, and an additional firefighting unit from the Rescue Department was sent to assist.

According to preliminary data, there were two fire centers identified. The first center was isolated at 13:35, covering an area of approximately 3000 square meters, while the second was contained at 19:41, affecting about 4.5 hectares. A third fire center was contained at 17:04 and extinguished by 19:16, where around 1000 square meters of construction waste burned.

The firefighters conducted cooling and extinguishing operations over an area of about 4000 square meters. Five water trucks and one tractor from the city hall participated in the firefighting efforts.
