September 14: A Working Day Following the Holy Cross Day
WRed
On September 13, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Cross, marking the last of the five major feasts of the Armenian Church. The day following the Feast of the Holy Cross is a day of remembrance for the departed.
On this day, services are held in churches, including the Divine Liturgy, followed by a memorial service, after which people visit the graves of their loved ones.
The day could potentially be designated as a non-working day or moved to another date by government decision; however, this year, the government has not made such a decision. Therefore, September 14, which falls on a Monday, will be a working day.
