Paris Police Use Tear Gas During 'Yellow Vests' Protest

Paris police have deployed tear gas during a 'Yellow Vests' protest. Authorities have detained 81 individuals ahead of the protests as part of routine checks.

According to the announcement, among those arrested were individuals found in possession of items deemed unacceptable for protests, including screwdrivers and flat-nose pliers. Police also discovered one firearm and several knives. Black masks intended to conceal the protesters' identities were also seized.

Approximately 20 people have already been fined for violating the law. On Saturday, two protests are permitted in Paris, both scheduled to take place in the northern part of the city.
