The Georgian Dream Will Nominate Giorgi Gakharia for Prime Minister

The Georgian Dream has presented its candidate list for the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 31. At the top of the list is the current Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.

Should the Georgian Dream party win the parliamentary elections, it will nominate the incumbent Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia as its candidate for Prime Minister, while the candidate for the Speaker of the 10th convocation of Parliament will be Archil Talakvadze (the current Speaker).

Earlier, the Georgian Dream party nominated incumbent MP Samvel Manukyan as a majoritarian candidate in Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda, who was elected through the party's list.

The parliamentary elections in Georgia will take place on October 31, 2020. Following recent constitutional amendments, the new parliament will be formed by 120 proportional and 30 majoritarian elected members.
