State of Emergency Extended in Artsakh Until October 11

President Arayik Harutyunyan signed a decree on September 11, extending the state of emergency declared in the Republic of Artsakh on April 12, 2020, for another 30 days, from 10:00 PM on September 11 to 10:00 PM on October 11, 2020. This was reported by the Artsakh presidential administration.

As of September 11, five new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Artsakh. Two of the infected individuals are from a new outbreak in the city of Stepanakert, where the virus was identified during examinations conducted at healthcare facilities. Epidemiologists are working to clarify the contact network of the patients.

Among the other three confirmed cases, one is from Norashen, and two are from Stepanakert. All of them have been previously isolated as contacts of established outbreaks.

So far, the new coronavirus has been confirmed in 328 individuals, of whom 283 have recovered. Currently, 43 are receiving treatment, and a total of 64 citizens are in isolation. Doctors assess the health condition of seven patients as severe and five as moderate.

For testing purposes, 81 samples have been collected, and a total of 12,680 samples have been examined to date.
